Meet the Director - Mary Pudota

I’ve spent nearly two decades working inside one of Australia’s major banks, building a deep understanding of how lending, credit decisioning, risk, and customer journeys actually work behind the scenes.

Throughout my career at ANZ, I progressed through a wide range of roles spanning personal lending, service leadership, product simplification, and large scale business transformation. I’ve led frontline teams, managed complex lending and service operations, and worked closely with senior executives on decisions that directly impact customers and how banks assess risk.

Alongside this, I’ve also been a small business owner, running a Domino’s franchise for five years. That experience gave me firsthand insight into the realities of juggling cash flow, lending commitments, staffing pressures, and growth decisions — something many clients I work with can relate to.

Over time, one thing became very clear to me: most people don’t need more loan options — they need clear, honest guidance they can trust. Too often, borrowers feel overwhelmed, confused, or unsure whether the advice they’re receiving truly has their best interests at heart.

That’s why I chose to step into mortgage broking. My aim is simple — to use my deep industry knowledge, leadership experience, and customer first mindset to help clients make lending decisions that genuinely support their financial goals, both now and into the future.

We manage the process end‑to‑end, from structuring the loan correctly through to navigating lender policies, managing applications, and keeping you informed along the way. Mary Pudota is the founder of Providence Financial Services, bringing over 18 years of experience in banking, transformation, and service leadership to the mortgage broking industry.

Mary has built her career at ANZ, where she held senior roles across workforce transformation, service delivery, digital operations, and product simplification. Her experience includes working within highly regulated environments, collaborating closely with lenders and senior stakeholders, and contributing to the design of structured, compliant customer processes.
This background provides Mary with a strong understanding of lending frameworks, credit assessment considerations, and the importance of clear communication throughout the home loan process. As a mortgage broker, she focuses on supporting clients by helping them understand their options and navigate the lending journey in a clear and structured way.

In addition to her banking career, Mary has owned and operated a Domino’s franchise, giving her practical experience in business operations, financial management, and customer service.

Providence Financial Services was established with a focus on education, transparency, and long term client relationships. Mary takes an information led approach, ensuring clients are supported throughout the process and are provided with clear explanations to assist them in making informed decisions based on their individual circumstances.
